There used to be a section of highway near the Staten Island Landfill where large drainage piping is buried. The road would have sunken between the pipes at a angle. My cabover took about 5 foot hops off the three of them once at 60+ I was not in a position to do anything about the trailer which would just have to look after itself and the freight that all got shook from the pallets into a big pile that day.
That was the last time I ever ran that way towards long island.
Other bad roads were literally none at all, such as in CT, being rebuilt totally, bridges included. I crossed three of those without deck, just the girders beneath which were just as wide as the steers were and no wider.tucker and saulmsilver Thank this. -
I don't know if NYC counts as New England but unless they repaired it, coming off the gwb is the worst road I've been on, every time I would hit the potholes and bust a spot mirror or someone trying to avoid the potholes and take out one of my mirrors or blow a tire.
There is also a road somewhere near Boston I remember being pretty bad, it was like driving over a wash board, if you didn't have things secured in a truck, that woild fly all over the place.tallguy66 Thanks this. -

I86 in NY is pretty rough.

There is a bump just before the GWB southbound that will launch a truck like no other bump I’ve ever seen. If traffic is moving good you will hit your head.
