What is Werner Enterprise's pay like?

    Why the #### would you do flatbed for less than 50k a year. What is wrong with you?

    Seriously, even if you're brand new to driving, there are gigs paying in the 40s per mile. If you're not new, and really want to do flatbed, there are companies that will teach you and pay you over 50 per mile. Jesus Christ.

    From what I am experiencing, they put drivers through 4-5 days of orientation, paid at $100 a day, then drivers will wait 4-7 additional days, being put on a "leave of absence" until they can get a used, possibly wrecked truck ready. So here you are into your 2nd week at Werner, still with no truck. You finally get issued a truck but after driving it a few days, you realize it is not road worthy at all. So then you have to return to Werner to wait again 5 - 9 days more to get the unsafe truck that was issued for you to drive as a licensed driving professional that was not at all in compliance with DOT repaired. Never mind that your safety, lives of others on the road and your license was placed in jeopardy by putting you, their employee into a precarious situation of having to choose between making a living verses doing the responsible adult thing of turning the truck in to get repaired like it should have been issued in good condition in the first place. You gotta wonder if Werner just thinks, "Oh well, another driver bites the dust, we can just replace that dead driver with another."
