No, I totally get what you're saying, and that's the one common thread I'm seeing in all these comments is that the autonomy of driving a truck is very appealing. I wish I could do what you all do. I mean, everything I'm wearing, my phone, my purse, the groceries next to me: all of it was on a truck at some point. Truck driving is literally one of the most pivotal jobs anywhere, not just in the US. It boggles the mind to think of it...or at least it boggles my mind. I also can't think of infinity or the universe without feeling a little dizzy.![]()

In all seriousness, I like being by myself for the most part. I worked for Walmart 7 years before I came back to driving. Much prefer this than having to take a major leak and having some customer stop me on the way to the men's room to tell me that our being out of Diet Mt. Dew is the result of a conspiracy between the soda industry, the corn syrup lobby and retail establishments.
