I've already got three pre-hires from other companies that I really don't want to work for after reading these forums. I want to know every body's opinion a company called KLLM

just remember most of bad posts on this website is from disgruntled workers people who where fired or left because they weren't happy that doesn't mean the companies are bad..

Would suit you best if you could find a smaller carrier to drive for. These mega-carriers are interested in you newbies for one reason and that's cheap labor! You will make a lot more money and be a lot happier driving for a smaller outfit. Yes it takes a lot more effort because they don't spend millions of dollars in advertising like the mega-carriers (and that alone should set off alarms in your head) also the drivers are happier so their turn over rate is lower. The majority of the CDL mills recommend the mega-carriers too because they are paid to do so. As a newbie you really have to block out a lot of advice you think you are getting from these people. Think of it as a sales pitch, not advice.

Did you tell them about it or did they find out about it on a background check? Also you could try companies who accept felonies on there record there are big companies who do..And if you continue to have a hard time if you already have a cdl apply at local moving and storage companies they are always looking for cdl holders pay is good but it consists of hard physical labor and long hours but your home every night.

    This is the truth!

Think about this for a moment:

Any company that trains drivers or hires drivers right out of school will have more complaints than companies that don't for one major reason, 99% of the drivers new to OTR driving have no real idea what this side of the industry is like. They have a lot of misconceptions and crazy romantic ideas about driving OTR. I'm a OTR driver trainer for the last 15 year and I confront new drivers everyday. The trucking schools, trucking companies, and even a lot of experienced driver fill the wannabes and newbies heads with crazy ideas . Then when these drivers hit the road and those misconceptions and romantic ideas are quickly shattered and the easiest person to blame are the companies.
