I did not see anything about "no petty bs"

Today $2/mile sucks. I refuse to be blind to todays equipment costs, toll prices, fuel cost and so on. Every cost has inflated, and ill be dammed if i work for 70% of $2/mile or even 100% of $2/mile. A lot of people really need to research this "inflation" thing.....

I have seen paper work my old man had from the 80s at and over $2/mile.
Yet every dipstick in the freak shows (aka truck stops) think $2/mile is so good. makes me sick, but these people dont know any better.
I highly doubt if 25% of americans even know what inflation is

    Prove what?
    That 2.43*0.82 is 2
Or that lower cost per mile means bigger net profit?

I am not really from this nation, so if I agreed the joke would be on you.
For dry van no matter what somebody says 2 dollars per mile average is a decent rate.
If you do better than that, next thing you ll say you pull reefer, flatbed, rgn...

I do better than that with a dry van, much better. No matter the trailer $2 a mile average on ALL hub miles is OK. Not great, but OK. That would include ALL deadhead. $2 a mile on "loaded miles only" - what brokers fondly refer to as "a great rate" - is pathetic, cheap freight that will have a truck averaging less than a $1.65 or worse on all miles depending on deadhead. I don't care who you are or how low you "think" your cost is. $1.65 a mile, no matter how many miles, is enough to keep to keep the truck going but you won't be eating very well. If you don't save for the truck hauling a lot of that freight you'll be one of these jokers who can't afford a single tire, or even a mudflap. It's no fun working just to keep a truck going.

2 per mile After companys cut. After.
They dont get to take 18 percent twice.

You can make it happen on 1.65 a mile as well. many do.
As you get more miles , your cost goes down.
