What are some different types of background checks trucking companies use? Just ordered a check on myself from sterlingicheck . Just wanted to see what shows up on there. It was 35$. I heard it is the one a lot of companies use including Walmart. Do they just run a background check when hiring or do they do random ones after that? My record should be good just curious about how these background checks work.
What kind of background check do companies use?

I love the different questions.
What do they run now, and what do they run later.
Seems like you have things to hide, and will have even more later on.
And you know perfectly well how good your record is.Gizmo_Man and TRKRSHONEY Thank this. -
Since you are probably going to a mega carrier they'll probably use HireRight which will follow your future career also with a DAC report.
A few are listed on the bottom of this page. If it's out there, they'll find it.

Well fist offender keeps the info from getting out there because if you were given first offender it means the judge feels what you did wasn't that bad and shouldn't handicap you from getting work. You only get first offender once. I had to burn mine at age 23 over some bs. It was my fault. Cool ima keep it movin and stay the #### outta trouble now. Thanks for the replies though. Not trying to start a debate about the first offender act. Just was curious if any charges are showing up before I finish community service if you wanted the personal details. Have a good one.

Upon a verdict or plea of guilty or nolo contendere, but before an adjudication of guilt, the court may, in the case of a defendant who has not been previously convicted of a felony, without entering a judgment of guilt and with the consent of the defendant, defer further proceeding and place the defendant on probation as a first offender.
If the terms of the first offender sentence are successfully completed, and the probationer discharged, the arrest record is sealed. GCIC must receive official notification that the subject has successfully completed the FOA requirements. The record is not automatically sealed based on the elapse of the probation sentence.
Georgia law (O.C.G.A. § 42-8-65(b)) requires GCIC to change the first offender sentence to a conviction if, prior to successful discharge, the subject is arrested and convicted of another offense while still on first offender probation. Courts may also revoke a first offender sentence, indicate unsatisfactory completion of the first offender sentence or change to an adjudication of guilt. -
If you pleaded guilty to get your probation when you fill out job apps and they ask you have you ever been convicted of a crime you better answer yes. The little green book has a section that says if you ever pleaded guilty to get an outcome of probation before judgement or any thing along those lines you have been convicted, even though state law says you havn't been convicted.
