Almost every battery I've ever had in my personal vehicles has lasted at least a year longer than the warranty. When I buy a new battery, before I install it in the vehicle, I fill up all the cells with distilled water and then I put it on the charger and charge it until it's full. I do that same thing again before the summer and again before the winter.

It’s a great idea to fully charge batteries, before putting them into service. I’ve always used a maintenance charger, on my personal batteries, before and after installation. Both my motorcycles and my mower are always plugged in.

What just went into my truck, on a Friday, had date ranges of 5-7 months. When I went to leave Sunday, the truck was in voltage protection, when I turned on the key. I told the tech, next time I saw him, it’s an awful long time for batteries to sit on a shelf, not being on some type of maintenance charger. He shrugged it off. I don’t believe their combined voltage, seen on my inverter display, is where it should be. It’s supposed to get get cold this week and it’ll be the first time I use my bunk heater on top of my CPAP and plug-in cooler. I doubt the batteries make it all night. If not, I’ll have to divert through our HQ shop and get these new batteries load tested. Things shouldn’t be this way and probably wouldn’t, if people would do things the right way, like use chargers.

Deka/ East Penn same company. Dealerships usually beat everyone’s prices.

I think the Alliance Brand at Freightliner is Deka/east Penn. I bought my last set at Batteries Plus . They were Duracell name branded, made by Deka/ east Penn. Same batteries, paid a bit more at Batteries Plus, because Dealership was closed.

Yep, that looks like what I will be doing. It's just too much of a pain to get those agm batteries at least in the time frame I need them which is tomorrow. Napa, advanced auto and Oreillys all carry commercial battery's but they were all out of agm battery's. So regular lead battery's it is.

I bought 3 of those alliance batteries for mine. 925 CCA, works great. I thought the company I am leased to got a good discount on them, but if they are $100 without the discount that isn't much difference from what I got mine at, at $75 each.

Like 2 out 3 truck dealers are around a $100. Some dealers want more for a battery.
