What kind of jobs you had before trucking?

Paper route at 11 till 14
Green house
Towing cars
Farm driver
Green House driver
Metal sheer operator
Back to farm driver. Different farm hauling eggs pigs and pig feed.

 

-paper route
-dishwasher in kitchen at restaurant
-tire repair / petroleum transfer engineer

post high school

-water well drilling and well service
-geotechnical drilling, all field jobs in the industry. from driller to utility locator to surveyor to coordinator (manager)

got my class a so i could move equipment while working geotech drilling.

 

Few teenage jobs before...
US Navy - 1989-2013
Driver - 2014-Present

 

Zamboni driver .
Brick paving - landscape business.
Tree spade driver.

 

That used to be my dream retirement job......

"I'll drive the Zamboni in exchange for free skating"....

Then people I spoke to about this at many different rinks all had the same story: "Yes, I drive the Zamboni. Yes, it's a cool job. But I'm also the janitor, security guard, receptionist, sharpener operator, and snack bar attendant"....

Well, as long as I can stay fit enough to skate, I guess I'd be able to do the other stuff, too. I suppose I'll find out when the time comes.

 

Did a choke n puke for a few teenage years, receiving dock for a few years, delivered furniture for a bit, did a short stint as a window washer (loved that) went back to furniture delivery then went big truck, now im a dm

Worked on my Grandfathers farm as kid..
Did a local delivery job in a cube van right after high school.
Ran the shipping and receiving docks for a dated office products company for a few years..
Got my CDL winter of ‘93 been driving large cars ever since..
I’ve also operated heavy equipment a little bit here and there.

I swore when elogs became mandatory I was done, then I found this guy running exempt trucks...
As long as there is an exemption I’ll keep doing that deal..
