I am currently in the recruiting process getting ready to start with Swift Trucking. My best friend and I are going in together to drive as a team and I was wondering what miles and pay do team drivers get vs solo drivers.

In theory, teams run their truck mostly non-stop. A solo can only run 11 hrs a day, however, times are changing. Some teams are running solo miles, depends on how much freight your company can find. A team will split the mileage rate (40 cents for instance) 20 cents per driver for all miles the truck runs VS a solo getting 35 cents for all his miles run. A rough average for solos is 12000 miles a month. For teams, it's double, give or take. Notice I said rough average. Freight is up and down, therefore, miles are up and down.
