Most goverment freight goes theu Menlo (Conway). Some spot bids and all secured loads go to direct carriers. Next time you are on a base ask the TMO office what they think of Menlo, then step back and get ready for some bad words.
What kind of profit is this broker gonna make on this load?

It was a van load Bill
-
This load I talked about was not a partial load it was for a 53 foot van and it would have taken up the whole trailer ...so that rate I talked about was for a full load going from one base to the other.
SMTatham Thanks this. -
well somebody's got some splaining' to do because the brokers are always telling me they don't set the prices, the shippers do........ well, do ALL the shippers reset their prices in January ? Because across the board it seems to be down about 0.30 to me. I realize some guys are still finding good loads, etc... just sayin' on yer average loadboard load. Don't some of the brokers have set rates that stay the same year round ?
I guess what I'm asking, Is this a good time of year to be a broker ? Seems if you have the same loads and getting them hauled 0.30/mile cheaper it would be.
