schedule? lol that's funny......my carrier doesn't have very many dedicated runs so irregular route also means irregular schedule most of the time.....
having said that i try to run nights whenever possible.....far less idiots on the road at night and as others have said, much easier to find parking when all the solar powered trucks leave in the morning.....
but that's only actually possible half of the time with me.....i've got a live unoad tonight at 11pm but then my preplan has a 10am live load in the morning which also means i have to use a split to make it work and still have hours to get to parking tomorrow.,..
and then get a 10 after i load and run it all night home for the weekend
live unloads/loads almost always dictate when you run......d/h usually has a window you can run when you want to.....you'll more than likely get a mix of both and be at the mercy of the frieght.
What kind of schedules do people drive?

Thank you to everyone for your information! It has been very helpful.

I loaded Monday afternoon this week and came home 9AM Friday morning...
I worked (driving/loading/unloading) about 16-18 hours each day. Pretty normal... I usually nap a couple times per day plus I sleep every night for about 5-6 hours. -
When the phone rings I go load. Oil rigs don't sleep............................ever.
-
first and foremost Ill run how the load predicts... delivery appts etc
secondly ill run to my preference while keeping to *how the load predicts*
but in an ideal world i'd drive 11, sleep 10, drive 11, sleep 10, throw in a handful of pretrips and dock bumps, then reset and repeat!
