    Hi, I'm a university of toronto student researching about truckers.
    I've heard that a big concern for truckers is that the trips are often long and boring. So I'm wondering what kind of modifications or gadgets owner operators get for their trucks to keep themselves entertained or boost the safety aspect. It would be awsome if you guys could share your experiences!

    The number one entertainment is my Blue Tooth. I either talk to other drivers or listen to pod casts.

    Try to avoid gadgets while driving. Do have a dash cam for liability.
    Keep phone use with Bluetooth to a minimum. I get little enjoyment talking on a phone. Prefer to look at view out the windows and hear the world around me.

    Pod casts and music are my best friends. I try to download non-mainstream music when I can and have discovered some great artists this way. There's something about new tunes that you don't hear everyday that keep me awake.

    Serious answer. I don't like boredom. My personal music collection is hundreds of gigs, plus subscriptions to Amazon, Itunes, Spotify and Pandora. Then Podcasts, streaming the news, audiobooks from the library and talking on the phone half the day.

    I don't think this is really what the OP was looking for but.....
