I don't think it really matters, they are both major players and their loads are pretty much the same minus the lower end brokers that had to make a choice of which load board to pay for. imo

So I guess just go with the one that you like the features of the most.

I was leaning towards DAT & ascendTMS as the costs are lower with similar features vs TruckStop & ITS

Good choice. We are on DAT power and switching from Dr Dispatch to Ascend right now. I've had internet truck stop but it's not really worth the money if you already are on dat power.

As far as your other post about running only south or coast to coast... rethink that my friend. Good way to wear your truck out and go broke. Don't be afraid to run harder areas. The path of least resistance doesn't normally net great results.

My path of the hardest resistance would be a lane to Bronx or Maspeth which is where I have never been to. I wonder if those places are simply dangerous like Chicago South Side, or they don't load anything back. Perhaps, there is an architectural aspect too (low bridges, tight intersections). Or maybe only scary stories. At this point of my ignorance I would not go there even if they paid me 4k from Chicago, but for 10k I would go, I think.

Haha I don't know I kinda like 5.50/mi but 13/mi does sound better. LOL.

I hadn't sent any trucks into the city over there before. I broker some loads into the island for 2700. But then in NJ west of the city is more like 2300. I guess tolls are STEEP over in those parts though.

Prob why I hadn't been into the city is because they don't pay 10k. :]

I'm also afraid of getting hung up for a day and losing revenue. High risk.
