I usually spend my first day at home relaxing, bbq'ing, etc. then next 3 days (or more if needed) belongs to the truck fixit's and then a couple more days off, then a trip to HQ where I am leased onto, putting me back into the truck and ready to roll. Its 10x harder to roll out for me from the house, so I always pack up on my own terms, taking my time, then going to HQ before I tell them I am ready to take some freight. The total ends up being usually about 7-10 days off, then its another 7 weeks out, rolling non-stop with the wife.

How do you stand manual gearbox?,...Is there supposed to be some inferiority for women in trucking that I am not aware of???

My wife is very feminine, and beautiful to boot, but she has no qualm about jacking up the front end of the truck and replacing the airbags, or helping me pull the rears out of the truck to rebuild the spring mounts. The only difference between us when it comes to the truck, is that she is better at saving fuel then me (i still haven't figured out how she does it).

I cant stand it, thats why I was waiting for AutoShift to improve enough. There is 50% I can end up with 13 manual though. ;)

i'm not looking forward to this month. after replacing my radiator hose. it's in the shop for CEL. and it's looking like a DPF replacement. and was told it MAY not be under cummins warranty. plus the usual oil leak. plus the fuel gauge. and $800 for a full tank of fuel. i hope to be leaving by friday. saturday if i can find a load.

don't know the damages yet. but if nothing else breaks. i'm thinking 6 weeks to break even.
