What's the number #1 reason you would leave a company, to go work for another?
Is it pay, how you have been treated, just looking for something new, etc.?
What makes you change companies?

Every company I have work for except two I left for the same reason. They ether didn't do as they said they would or they changed the way they did things and I didn't want to deal with the new rules. I quit the 1st one for an opportunity to good to pass up and then there was one that was so bad I just couldn't deal with them any more. But I always give them 6 months.

I think that's a fair amount of time to give a company. When drivers are looking for new jobs, is money the #1 deciding factor? Or is it always a mix of things?

The answer to your question will vary from driver to driver.
My motivations on a company are (in order):
1) Pay : both per mile and number of miles. Also layover/breakdown pay.
2) Hometime. I work to live, not the other way around.
3) Truck. The maintenance, power, ride, amenities, etc.
4) Treatment of driver. If the 1st 3 are good, I'm more flexible, etc.
These items have to strike a comfortable balance for me to be satisfied with a job. Currently, I have a local that kicks booty on 1,2 and 4. 3 stinks because they are army rigs..... -
There's so many different answers to that question I don't believe you'll get a standard answer. A driver may leave because of people, pay, time home, treatment, equipment, and so on. So you'll have to just take each as it comes. However, I would say most leave to better themselves with better pay and benefits.

Palazon, great break down. That's what I was looking for.
GasHauler, very true. I guess there's really no single answer, but I love hearing everybody's individual opinion.
