I have been looking at p57 marmon's for a while now I'm a bit new to the mechanics of them.
What suspensions should I be looking for and what transmission?

Hi bow2no1, I drove a Marmon like that, (we called them, those " Mormon" trucks), they're getting scarce, but they are cool trucks, lot of compliments on the ol' CB going down the road. Seemed very similar to an older W900 KW. It had a 400 Cummins, 13, 3:70's, and Neway air ride. I think the Neway was standard suspension. I'm not a big fan of Neway, while it rode ok, it was kind of "bouncy". Transmission depends greatly on the motor you have. The nicest riding truck I drove was KW 8 bag, and the newer Freightliner ( which seemed similar to the Neway, but not as "bouncy") was ok too. Not sure you'll have a big choice, unless someone switched the suspension from Neway. Whatever you do, don't get one with a spring suspension! Like jbourque sez, PM Marmonman, he'd know fer sure.

I found a couple I might go look at, one needs some minor work for $8,500...10 speed with a 3406. The other is a 13 speed with a 400 big cam and about 70,000mi on major rebuild for $13,500 looks like she's ready to go and work.
