From what I have heard there is a lot of camshaft failures because of these pressed on lobes, moving or spinning. What year model did they start using them? Do they still use them or is volvo/mack just pretending its not a problem? I wonder if there is an aftermarket camshaft available?
Within the next year I'll be in the market for a used truck and the 2012 volvo engine I have now has been pretty great. It seems like cummins have tons of problems these days, but maybe it's just because there is so many of them on the road, so it seems that way.
What model year did the pressed on cam lobes show up?
