What months are considered "slow freight" season...?

    I agree with 1st quarter. Last summer I had so many loads that I had to take 8 hour restarts just to make it on time to my next shipper appointment. I am actually at home now due to my load not having to get there until monday since it is so slow now.

    Christmas through mid march. There's also a little slowdown right after summer 'back to school' season ends, but its not as bad or long because freight usually picks up heading into christmas. After christmas people just don't buy much, so freight plummets and doesn't fully recover until tax refunds start hitting people's accounts.
