I just started my own company and was wondering first, what do I have to pay an O/O to haul freight for me. Second, are there any out there along I-40 corridor? As a professional courtesy please be as detailed with your answers as possible. Thanks in advance for yoiur info.

What sort of freight do you have and how far are your deliveries etc?
If you want detailed responses, you will need to provide a few detailed bits of information. -
Well, Freight and distance vary. I guess I just want to know what the charge is per mile.
-
doesnt sound like your quite to the point of talking any o/o into driving for you.
rich_t Thanks this. -
That will vary based on the freight and distance. -
Well not an o/o but here's some friendly advice.
Let 'em know what the "freight" is. They're gonna need to know what type of trailer and is there any special handling required.
Destination? Maybe extra charges for certain cities and states (in certain areas the likelyhood of a load out decreases so the o/o will need some compensation to recover from being stuck in a dead zone).
As a basic rate figure around $2.00 +/- per mile (are you going to pay HHMG miles, actual miles or, hub miles?)
I-40? yeah..... umm, might be one or two guys running I-40.
just sayin'

Something strange about this post. you started your own business that envolves transport & now inquire about what is cost to move whatever it is that you cannot describe here, but bland answers like distance & freight will vary ?Beechvtail, Jimbo60 and rich_t Thank this. -
Based on the Info you provided
$2.50 a mile to get to you from wherever I am at the time you call
If it's under 12 wide and 150k lbs $9.50 mi plus permits
Over 12 wide and 150k I will need more details
DH of $ 2.50 after I drop your load
Hope this helps -
No i'm not quite ready. I'm learning the ropes. I filed my LLC mainly to be official, so when I call to ask questions people will be more willing to answer my questions. If I don't ask questions how will I know? I'm sure most of you had to start somewhere!
Thanks to those of you who are willing to help out a newbie instead of bashing the post. -
this is like the people who do lease purchase. When you know how to do a job, then you can think about starting a business in that field. You're putting the trailer ahead of the tractor here
