Sounds like the new guys leasing on at my location.
They think the grass is greener down the street.
All they get are the cheap loads everyone else has turned down.
In a month their gone .

Safe bet that he really doesn't care if you are impressed or not.

    Yep

After the first 18 months and my rig was paid for . If I wasn’t gonna make X dollars of profit for the day . I’d just stay home and work one of my cars or mow the grass or whatever .

From what I'm seeing some carriers are throwing out thier freight as power only on the spot market. Getting it delivered cheaper than they can carry it and pocketing the delta on the contract rate.

$1 per mile dummy haulers will move it and the carrier will earn more than if they hauled it themselves.
What a time to be alive!

    Every company does that
    Not just trucking

Every general contractor doing construction work hires subs who will do the work for half of what the GC is charging the owner
, and then pockets the rest .

    every business does it

we had our gym floor refinished and we got some bids and the folks show up to do the work and had the wrong type of clear coat ,
I said “for $2500 you guys couldn’t bring the right clear coat ?”

they looked shocked and said “$2500?
    We’re getting $650”
They were very unhappy when I showed them the estimate from the guy that they were subcontractors for ,

    Opendeckin and bamanation Thank this.
