Local here. My comments: I wish I had thought of RBRTWBSTR's route. That is the best way to get in from the top. I would only make one slight modification of using 895 instead of 443 to get from 309 to 248. My preference. Don't care for how stupid people drive on 443 close to Lehighton and that stupid narrow bridge with the curve at each end.

I get really tired of everyone telling everyone they need an atlas and/or a truck-specific GPS. Yes, I have both. Don't use them very often. Google Maps with a little common sense is more valuable than following either blindly. Especially if you take the time to go down to street view on each turn and overpass to look for restriction and/or clearance signs.

You are no longer allowed to go south on 93 down Broad Mountain into Nesquehoning with a 102" wide trailer longer than 28.5'. Too many runaway straight trucks...which the restriction doesn't apply to...

I was lamenting that stupid 209 restriction myself last night (Saturday) being cheap but also lazy deadheading back from Mass. My new policy is to completely avoid Connecticut whenever possible because 84 is just as annoying as 95 anymore. So I took the Mass Pike to the Thruway. Then I decided I was too cheap to pay the 78 bridge toll and didn't want to deal with Jersey either so I got on 84. Part of me wanted to just take 209 anyway (did it once before) but I didn't. There has been a backup all weekend on 80 eastbound near Tannersville so I really wanted to avoid that area. Otherwise, I would've just taken the stupid long way all the way out 84 to 380 80 33 etc. I bobtailed down 402 into Marshalls Creek and picked up 209 there once. So I went that way. I had forgotten that 402 is restricted once you get most of the way down. No 102" over 28.5' AND no trailers longer than 45'. OOPS. Glad I did it. Poconos...so pretentious...

80 should be 3 lanes all the way down through there. I run through there almost daily
