Exactly!! But maybe if they had to replace the window they might think about it next time. If it were up to most of us there wouldn't be a next time!

I'm sure that's a real thick sarcastic practicality based response... I hope...... My version of that is something like: smash all the windows and give the dog an egress option, even if unlocked- 'pick one, buddy!'....... But I don't tolerate stupidity very well, and i can be a big ole Richard about it. Surely that shows. :D

Meeping a dog is never fair, no matter where you meep it! But then nobody ever said life is fair. I think a dog in the truck is much better off than a dog left alone at home.
When the dog is in the truck, it's only alone for short periods of time. And if the driver makes sure his buddy gets out and gets exercise, where is the problem? Unless of course, the driver meeps the dog. That's never good!:p:D

I wish there was a good healthy loving home for every animal in the US. But unfortunately our abandoned and abused animals have hit crisis levels. Shelters kill thousands of animals every month simply because no one steps up and accepts responsibility for them. It is not the animal's fault.

Our pitbull Bloo was terribly sick with parvo and pneumonia and in the past was starved to 26 pounds at 3 years old. He's had his back broken, too. He was on his last day at a kill shelter when we adopted him. We took him straight to the vet where he spent two weeks as in inpatient.

I ordered special high quality dog food from Canada to put healthy weight on him and not break out his skin or upset his tummy. He put on 40 pounds with us in six months while we retrained him to learn that not all people are bad, that he shouldn't be afraid, and thus aggressive. He rode millions of miles with us, playing football in rest areas and snowballs in the winter. He got every toy he could ever want and twice a year check ups at the vet. He pouted when Mr. E and I went to work without him and would lay by the door, head on his paws for days.

But, you know, maybe he should have held out for that eleventh hour stay of execution.
