We have a (spelling????) Bichon Frisse. I suggest you get a dog with hair Vs. fur. Hair=grooming but very little to no shedding. Fur =almost almost no grooming but hair everywhere.

Go to your local shelter that is knowledgeable about their dogs.

    Find a lazy pitbull.

You'd be surprised how contrasting they can be. Super high energry or the lazy couch potato.

People see a pit in your truck and will assume it means business.

Years ago we had stuff go missing while we were in the shop. After we got Bloo, we posted a pitbull on duty sign in both windows and left him in the truck. He HATED people touching his truck. Then we'd warn everyone about the dog and tell them to let us know when they needed to turn the engine over. Never happened again.

Of course, he was a teddy bear to us.

I would love to have a pit... unfortunately where I live near Baltimore there on the no go list. It's a shame too cause I met an awesome one at the shelter.

I would love to get another pug but the one we have now..even after brushing sheds like crazy!!! I want a dog that barks though especially when I'm asleep and some crack head gets around the doors! This one barks at everything!! I sat a pillow on the end table and she barked at it until I threw it at her!!! She's dumb as a box of hammers sometimes!! Her nick name is snot rod!! Anyone that's been around a pug knows why.
