Steal a drop of gasoline and you're gone. It's that way with just about every gasoline company I know of.

Getting a customer to "fire" your company and lose the account will get you fired. I was at a customer, waiting on the curb for my turn to get into the dock, parked behind a sign that said "No truck parking ahead of this sign". The sign was there for a purpose because the entry into the customer's yard was off a narrow street with a narrow gate. Trucks need room to make that turn into the yard. It was going to be a long wait so I got into the sleeper berth to relax. About 15 minutes later there's a knock at my door and look up to see a truck parked in front of me, partially blocking the entrance to the yard. The knock was from that driver asking me to back up so he can not block the entrance, telling me that the guard was really rude to him. The truck that had been parked behind me was in the middle of the street, trying to make the turn with his 4 ways on...
... but another truck had pulled into the spot behind me, giving me only 30 feet to back up. So I back up 30 feet and the driver that had blocked the entry backed up 30 feet and the trucker stuck in the road made it into the yard. I think all is well and get back into the sleeper.
Five minutes later the guy in the truck in front of me comes back and knocks on my door again... this time just to brag about how the guard just kicked him out and told him to leave because he refused to move his truck out of the No Parking zone. "Eff 'em if they are going to be that way!"
When I finally got my call for a dock I checked in at the guard shack and overheard a conversation between the guard and the shipping manager. The guard was being instructed to refuse any more trucks from "Company X".
I can't imagine "Company X' would be retaining that driver.
