Coming from central valley (Fresno area) to San Diego/Poway area, is I5 south all the way down a good route, or take I15 south?? Have a 900 am appt tomorrow, how much time should I allow. I'm thinking at least 8 hrs min?? Any info on traffic in that area in the early morning?? Ive googled both routes, miles/time wise there close. Thanks for any info.
What route would be best to San Diego/Poway

How are you getting to I15 from the 99?
-
99S - I5S - I210E - I15S
-
stay on I-15 all the way. And yes there will be traffic in riverside county on down into san diego county.
-
15 straight down to Poway. If you're doing Sysco, there's parking PLUS a deli and the dude's from Jersey. Good times.

Well time of day will make a big difference. If night driving 5-805. If going this afternoon remember 210 will be a parking lot from Pasadena till rancho cucamunga. If going through there in the AM that's the way to go but you will hit traffic from riverside/temecula on. Times of travel really matter.

Ok, I15S to Poway. got it. One more question - depending on how long it takes to get unloaded, I'm sure I'll be close to my 14, How is parking for a 10 hr break in this area? I've checked the app "truckers path" and don't see many truck stops in area.
@joseph1135 - Sysco - San Diego(Poway)?? Parking nearby?? -
Parking @ Sysco. Plus stores/restaurants within walking distance. And that deli across the street.
-
Planning on leaving Fresno area around midnight
-
Now, as for other parking, there's a Pilot in Otay Mesa, about 25 minutes away and a rest area on 5 northbound about 35 minutes away. You can park at Sysco in the driveway before your appointment time as well. Unloading takes from 2-4 hours there, that Sysco isn't too too bad.
