I gotta say I love the moto mirrors. I've worn the right side out because I use it constantly. It's really nice to make a right turn and move the mirror so you can eliminate any blind spots. I believe it's one of the top safety items on the truck. What do you all think?

Yea Moto Mirrors are nice, wonder why KW hasn't made both mirror move like Freightliner does? Every KW I have drove with Moto mirrors only works the passenger side.

I rarely use the driver side since you can just look out the window. But I can tell you pulling a truck and trailer that's 85' long around the city and into old gas stations is tough and the Moto Mirror is a must especially when you sometimes have only a inch or two clearance.

Heated mirrors are nice in winter. I had heated wiper blades on my 1973 International.

Dual air pressure gauges were helpful. I could tell when an air supply line was starting to freeze.

I was going to mention the brake application gauge, but the days of steady light brake pressure on down grades is long past.

Heated mirrors even help when it's just raining. The air application gage can tell you your brakes are heating up down a grade and the drums are expanding. I would have them if I was hauling real heavy loads out west. I've never had heated wiper blades but I can see they would help as long as they are not worn. Good points.

Fender mounted spot mirrors. I didn't think I would like them when I was given a new truck but when I moved back here my next truck didn't have them and I really missed the advantage they gave me so I told the company I'd pay for them and we had a long talk about them so they went ahead and put them on the whole fleet!

Wow. Thats quite an accomplishment and congrats. Big or small fleet???

I have a couple of favorite safety items with my favorite being my fender mounted mirrors. I love seeing the blind spots and planing my next move in case miss daisy decides to slam on her brakes. I know who is in my blind on my side and can pass. Call me an idiot but my second favorite item is the wealth of information I possess in my brain. I learn how to react to certain situations and act according. My third favorite is my jake brake/ low function of my auto transmission.

I like the motorized mirror as well. Just used it twice while blindsiding it into two different docks. (Had to pick up part of the load at one building and go to another for the rest.)

Never move my mirror. Not picking but just would go against my training. If you have no point of reference how would you know what you are seeing? I do like the oblique mirrors (fender). Really only use the right mirror regularly to watch for dog tracking, turning, checking on ramps.........

Best safety advance? Disc brakes. Once ya'll get to try them you wont believe the difference. Test drove one for the company for two weeks. I can not wait until our trucks are spec'ed with them.
