I don't believe PODS has anything actually in NYC. I have been in that area several times recently though
What say you drivers on Schneider - Regional, Pods acct., Teaming?

Very possible to get sent onto Staten Island though but nothing in NYC. I just looked.

You won't make any money at Schneider if not on a dedicated account period. As for work. If 9-10 straps is hard for you. Idk then.

My extra work comment wasn't about throwing straps, although that is more work than slamming doors. It was about "the hardest part is just backing the split axle off of a busy street or the random blindsided through a fence". Dry van does has some "you want it where?" places, but they're exceptions rather than norms, with most of them being on private property.
The other reasons you gave for high turnover are systemic at Schneider, and for most megas. It's the problem with having a business model dependent on churning entry level workers. The PODs account had a reputation for higher turnover than other accounts, not quite Dollar General level but still higher than 'normal'.
