As a rookie driver, what kind of cards should I sign up for? I was asked yesterday at the Pilot if I wanted a MyPilot card. I was in a hurry so I said no. But I started thinking about it later as I left. What should I sign up for to get rewards and that type of stuff.

Get all the rewards cards. You get points for fueling ect. You get free showers, food, and items with those points.

well...all of them that you think you will be fueling at more than once or twice a year. mostly you get points for fueling...so any that are on your companys fuel list (assuming they insist that you fuel at specific places, most larger companies do). usually you will receive 1 penny for each gallon of fuel, plus one free shower anytime you purchase at least 50 or 75 gallons of fuel. this adds up...its not gonna be a fortune, but if you drive 125,000 miles in a year, and get 6.5 mpg, you will be putting 19230 gallons of fuel in the tanks from SOMEWHERE. if every time you fuel, you do it at a place that you have a card for, that means you will get $192 in credit to use for whatever at their store. like i said, not a fortune, but its better than nothing. i never got a loves card, because none of the companies i worked for had more than 1 or 2 loves locations on the fuel stop list, so id never get any "reward".

as a friendly tip: if you drive reefer, get all your reefer fuel at the same brand truck stop (in my case, TA/Petro). Helps to rack up points on one card for toys

Get the cards, get the points!

Then I use the points to buy reimbursable items for the truck like antifreeze, oil etc... then when I submit the receipts I get the cash back on my paycheck.

I also bought a power inverter, took half off the cost of a CB and got a free CB mic with points.

And "cash in" your points regularly.......I've seen truck stops change their policies overnight and the drivers with points still on their cards lose them.
