Wondering what size pipes are on this truck. http://truckcentercompanies.com/gt/20951/2007-peterbilt-379ex What is the standard size? Do the large diameter pipes effect engine performance? They look good on this truck.
What size pipes are on this truck?

I believe thats an 8" Stack Pipe.....
They are for Novelty purposes Only......You Go From a 4" exhaust from the Turbo, To an Obnoxiously Big 8" Monster Pipe
Im Not a Fan of them....But I guess they look alright on some truckscamaro68 Thanks this. -
With a diesel, the better the engine breathes, the better the power. Whether that is larger intake to the in side of the turbo, or stack diameter.
Yet the flip side is..... You may want to drive the truck before you try to get it. Sometimes monster pipes equals loud exhaust. That loud exhaust will wear you out very quickly!camaro68 Thanks this. -
I bet it is hard to get used to the loud pipes. The owner definitely put some money into it.

Now if you want the look without making the noise there are internal mufflers to fit inside the stacks.
