Kinda like how Obama said “You didn’t build that” when referring to business owners and their businesses. It was an out of touch kick in the nuts.

I think part of the frustration is it seems like if you’re a born and bred in the USA white male then your pretty much demonized in today’s society. You sure as hell won’t get any help from the Gov.

Unless you are a minority, foreign, or very least female then your automatically “privileged” and should shut up and enjoy that supposed privilege.

Not trying to get political I swear! Trying to give perspective where some guys are coming from that are frustrated with illegals or maybe non illegal perceived to get a hand out.

As for deporting tomorrow... there are more illegals then people looking for work. So unemployment would go to 0 from an already low 3.9% Would make a massive difference IMO.

I remember that in Clinton era at some point the unemployment was 5% and it was said by more than one talking head that 5% was the optimal threshold. Otherwise, the economy might be overheating, if gets any less.I personally don't think it mattered then or that it matters now, because the low unemployment does not mean that other 95 or 97% have got decent and well paid jobs. The problem is that over half of those jobs are unrewarding and dead end jobs. You need to have two of them and a wife needs to have one too to make both ends meet. The jobs illegals are having are mostly at the bottom of the job pool. Things that most common folks would not want to do anyway. The jobs that many of them would rather turn down and prefer to beg for money at an interstate ramp.

I get the point on illegal immigration though. But being an immigrant myself, I don't feel it would be right for me to bash it or criticize it. After all the only difference between them and me was the green card. The only thing that makes them "outlaws". All the hopes, dreams and desires were the same.
I don't buy the argument that only native Indians are the only real Americans entitled to be here either. That is too naive. Who knows maybe they are immigrants too - ancient Siberians who came here through the Bosphorus straits back in the bronze age. They just came here first. Did they do it legally though? :D

Every year in February, without a fail, someone posts about cheap rates blaming brokers, immigrants, government and whoever else. This business is cyclical as many other businesses. Amusement parks, retail, construction people, car sales, whoever else, everyone does not make much money in February. Heck even my wife's salon just barely breaks even in Jan-Feb and gets slammed when warm weather comes.
The only people who are making great money now are probably just the accountants.
If things are just as bad in May as they are now, then you can really start freaking out. Until then just chill and make the best possible out of this slow times.

Well, if you are going to make a comment like that , in which you are offending a group of people , and you don’t bring factual information , then just don’t say it.
Is easy to point finger and acuse people without factual information. We should examine ourself and figure it out what we are doing wrong and at least try to help resolve it the problem. Let’s look at the root of the problem.
Do you think if business wouldn’t hire people who don’t have proper documents to work in USA , people would come to USA???

Is totally understandable, however I can see almost the same amount of loads on the load boards . Deasel , parts, shop labor , permits and everything else that has to do with a trucking business doesn’t get cheaper .
I’m not arguing with you , it is what I can see , you know .

What did I say that wasn’t factual? Businesses should not hire illegals no. Would they still come? Doubtful. Unless it was to get on our entitlement programs. Or have anchor babies then use chain migration to later come in legally.

Are you an illegal alien? If not what are you offended about? Truth or the so called not truth I’m “spewing”?
