I'm about to work for a company who has an exclusive deal with Amazon, but they themselves arn't 100 percent sure of when these facilities open so someone can unload my truck.
Any idea where I can find that online or do I have to call each individual location and ask?
Forgive me, don't know where to post this, so if mods wish to move that's fine.
what time do post office locations open for package drop off?

I think it varies, try the usps website or call for recieving times
-
From the USPS website:
"For deliveries and pickups from outside contractors, our facilities will be open at times most inconvenient to you." -
If you are delivering to the P.O. and waiting for them to unload you. I hope you are getting paid more than miles only!~

Most of them have appointments, but that is a general rule. The contract carriers get priority. They will fit you in when they can. I suggest you call ahead to see if an appointment time is needed.
I remember delivering 2nd class mail to a PO in PA. I arrived, nobody backed up to the Dock. 10 workers standing around. I had to wait 4 hours till the contract carrier showed up before they would unload me. Others, I showed up and they got me into a dock. -
this is actually for amazon. they have a deal with the post offices where they unload upon our arrival. there about to open a whole operation in mn.
this isn't a full time gig. this is part time, route has 4 stops, i'll be done in 2.5 hrs.
not interested in truck driving full time, already have another job.
strictly part time job, about 20 hours a week.
the biggest thing though will be what time do the individual places open, which is the reason for the thread. -
Seriously tell your superior at this place to call the post office and ask them. Get them to write down the window for a drop and cover your butt.
THIS has to be the most idiotic thing I've read in a long time - and I am not saying this about you but the company and its management. -
Post offices are all fine and dandy until the handlers don't show up and the clerks tell you it isn't their job to unload you. I went to a few good ones but most sucked.

Civil service, we aren't civil and we sure as heck don't serve! -
So are you running from the Amazons to USPS? I've got two Amazon Fulfillment centers in my area and their both 24/7, If your delivering to a USPS sort facility they are also 24/7 if nothing has changed, if it's local post offices themselves not really sure. I know theirs people in them before and after it's open to the public though.
