    I'm a newbie starting out on my own looking at flatbed work off the load board. any hope of survival? kw 600 or larger?

    If you have no experience, start as a company driver for a year or two to get an understanding of the industry first.

    That's what I'd reccommend cuz you gonna have to find insurance. There is more to buying a truck that just walking in and saying you want one. You really need $40000 in the bank and put down 20000. The other 20000 will pay for the expenses and keep you afloat.
