Many shippers either have cameras or take pictures
Most places I load at for flatbed take pictures at the shipper and some even at the receiver
If it’s plant to plant then I assume if you tell them that they will either let it go. Or if they do want $$ it would be wholesale pricing
If you play dumb and it is found out then you have a much larger hill to climb
Pretty hard to correct a lie in any way or form
What to do if you've lost product on the way to receiver?

I'm just curious how this happened? Did the banding break on pallet, in a location that didn't have a strap going directly over the product or something similar to this?
If you don't want to share I understand.Vampire, 86scotty, Speed_Drums and 1 other person Thank this. -
If it was flatbed and happened because it was not well packed then that might be an angleJonJon78 Thanks this. -

I made it to the receiver today and spoke to them about it. They were super cool and said to get unloaded and they will figure out what box was lost. After waiting just a little while they called and said it wasn't that big a deal and not to worry about it. I asked if it would effect the freight rate and they said no. I think I got really lucky on this one.
Luck didn't last to long though, turns out I need a new turbo to the tune of $8500 and 4 days downtime.
Win some you lose some I suppose lol.Rideandrepair, aaronpeterbilt3787, black_dog106 and 9 others Thank this.
