well i really wasnt expecting this much feedback. But wow! thanks people. i think this thread was better than my other one lol. but i basically wanted your advice/opinions on this matter. tomorrow starts a whole new week. I hate mondays. cant wait till next weekend already! my goal is to get my experience in and see what i wanna do. give me a single axle day cab. with a single axle 20 foot trl. bet you ill never have a problem backing or turning.

You just get so used to hogging the intersection to negotiate the turn it becomes natural -
Like all have said Backing up is an accident waiting , One accident and your career early in trucking is over, I pull 3/4 way out in turn wait for all to move , or light to change and then grab every inch , Curbing tires thiers always the chance of them cutting or blowing out . That situation will happen over and over , eventually you will just be fine with all the anxiety and fear.

I have had this happen a time or two, some areas you can only swing out so far, and are still going to need the on-coming side to make turn, Usually, when I get to this situation, and there are vehicle sitting there, I just wait until there gone, before I initiate the turn, If I'm already committed to the turn, and some jerk pulls right up so I can not complete the turn, I'll just sit there and wait until they move, They can scream and holler all they want
