I can't believe how many load shifts I've had to do with paper rolls and no securement other than the anti-skid mats... #### vans think they can just close the doors and roll, had a couple trailers break in half from that.
BillyBobFrank, idriveaholden, JoeyJunk and 1 other person Thank this. -

The stupidity of the loaders where I get rolls is they have plenty of our straps and all trailers have e-track. A row of 5 or 6 straps, straight up, would offer some resistance. My next concern would be that pulling in the sides of the trailer, with 22,000lbs sliding forward. I’m not sure. But, there has to be a better way than rolling the dice.Speed_Drums Thanks this.

The one roll was placed toward the rear of the trailer for weight management. After further inspection, I noticed the strap to the bulkhead side of the roll wasn't placed up against or even close to the roll. So when the roll started falling, it was able to gain momentum and break through the low quality strap they used.ducnut Thanks this.

I’d start by giving myself 100% of the blame for not securing my load, not paying attention to a stale green light, and hitting the breaks so hard this happens.

I'm now 8k lbs over weight on my drive axles. I can hear my suspension being pushed to its limits when I go slowly around a corner.

That is lucky, and yes, I did have a mat under that roll.ducnut Thanks this.

So all the rest of the load slid forward, and that 1 fell over. You're goona have to find a warehouse, wreckin yard, etc to rework that.BillyBobFrank Thanks this.

Slide your fifth wheel . Your axles can handle more then 34k
Speed_Drums Thanks this.
