    Find a job closer to home. I run a dedicated run. Home every night and off on weekends.

    I make the same amount of money bring home as I did with Conway. I can take a small cooler with me. I can eat from home, and I literally save a lot of money by doing it this way.

    Ah, the good times being had by all!
    Zack, I tried to warn ya', I did!
    I do have to offer my thanks for your posts; let others know what they are up against lest they fall into the wrong hands.
    Like you, I really struggled with Conway Truckload; among other things was that the truck was always breaking down. I did everything that I could to get a better truck, I even personally spoke with Saul Gonzalez.
    I told him,"Senor, puedo tiene un camion nuevo, por favor"?
    He said...."No"!
    So I vamanosed.
    Of course, the breakdowns were not the only issues. Even when the truck was running properly, low miles and lower paychecks were the norm. I even changed Fleet Managers several times.
    To help silence (and to antagonize) the naysayers, I have posted my actual paycheck amounts in another thread on this forum.
    For the last few years now, I have been doing my best to warn other potential drivers away from this company (and to at least think twice about going with any other bottom feeder).
    For awhile, I had quite a following of outraged protests from other CWTL drivers that were oh so quick to disagree with me;
    How dare I call Conway Truckload a lousy, low income, dead end, loser job?
    And then, over time, they all quit...one by one.
    And now, the rebel yell;
    To anyone considering employment as a driver with Conway Truckload: Yes, we all know that you are an exceptional person that will bust his/her tail to become the best driver that the world has ever known;
    Just know that no matter what you do, and no matter who you are, you will be lucky to make $600.00-$750.00 a week for up to 100 hours a week (both on duty and driving) with this company. And some weeks, nothing at all.
    No wonder there is nearly 100% driver turnover with this lousy company.
    Look elsewhere. Even as a new driver, you are in demand.

    One more thing, Zack:
    Very important:
    Do not let Conway Truckload know that you are quitting until you are in an area where you know that you will be able to return home from!
    This is what CWTL will do:
    Upon receipt of your notice to resign (whether it be by telephone or quallcom), they will immediately direct you to the nearest safe spot... for the truck, that is. Then you will be told to leave the truck. No matter where you are.
    Even if you are in Bee Eff Egypt and three thousand miles from home.
    Have fun getting home!
    Hey, be true to blue!
    You would be best off getting to a CWTL yard closest to your home (or new job) and then to quit on the spot, as I did. No, it won't affect your DAC.
    If not, they WILL leave you hanging!

    In todays trucking there's not awhole of drivers that stays a yr with their first company.It might take 10 tries before you find a better company.If you was to quit I wouldn't worry about it, you'll find a job that quick.Driving jobs are a dime a dozen.You invested 7 months with this company can you handle another 5 months of low miles and breakdowns hoping it'll get better once your yr with them is completed?If you're ready to work hard and put in long hrs then join the oil fields.Then start saving incase you don't like that type of work.

    You can call BS all you want;
    The only BS around here is your own.
    Ya' know, if you worked for my trucking company, as the owner, I would pay you twice your weight in rice and beans for all your ignorant rhetoric.
    How's it feel to be the last man standing?
