What to do when a dispatcher tries to force a load on you?

I know it.

Problem is so many don't know the HOS and depend on elogs and doent look at the hours gained after midnight.Qualcomm gives all that info.As a new driver once myself I wasn't shy about asking other drivers for help whether it's logs,how to read a map best routing whatever.They've helped me alot.

 

That is why the whole trainer after 3 months and the team trainer doesn't get it. Just 2 weeks with a true trainer should get it.

Then call them and say, fine, I'll run it as far as I can, but I'll never make it.
I don't refuse the load, but I make it clear I can't make it. Then I ease back and roll down the carefree hwy.
It's all on them while I book miles.

 

Is that a strike on your record at Swift for refusing a load with hours to run it ?

 

At swift I think but wouldn't surprise me if they put it on the DAC

You are their employee, you tell them about your hours and do what they tell you to do. When you run out of hours ask them what to do.
The dispatcher just wants to clear their screen and say I did my job, when you run out of hours the dispatcher should be brought into the conversation, they are under pressure to get the load out of the shopper but they are big enough to repower the load easily.
Do what you are told to do but don't break the law.
