Driver gets nothing. Your revenue is ZIP. ZERO. NADA. NYET. POOR HOUSE. And the charges roll on.
You cannot pay a percentage of zero, it's still zero.
Start deducting and clawback the driver's money, submit him a bill of fees, losses, charges, tickets etc etc etc etc etc etc. Every last penny you incurred. Including the air conditoning repairs.
Charge back his wired money, Bill him to make you whole on that money.
Submit the rig and trailer to the state troopers as stolen by the driver.
Start typing on that man's DAC reports. Make it especially damning.

Sounds like poor hiring practice to me. The blame doesent all rest on the drivers shoulders.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -

No A/C in 100 degree heat? Are you kidding? These guys need to idle to run A/C when it's 60 outside (at night).
77fib77 Thanks this. -
How do you file with DAC bad drivers that steal property, dso you know? Looked all over to file report on DAC cannot find where to file report?
-
-
Have you called the police and reported it stolen? That's where I would start if the guy had really stolen it. Or is he "borrowing" it to get himself home?
-
Thanks. He came in with history. I believe everyone deserves a second chance. Well it bit me. Yes I reported it. I just want other Trucking companies to be weary of him.
-
it is a paid for service... How long was he employed? I ask because all DAC does is consolidate the already required reporting requirements.
Simply tell the new employer when they cal for a background check you fired him for theft of equipment. -
