It must be all overage from the last trip. Help yourself to whatever you want, sell the rest to whoever has their CB on then push the rest out on the ground at the back of a truck stop and walla! You have your empty!
Mikeeee8thnote, Chase05, Mr Coffee and 1 other person Thank this. -
well after waiting 8 hours and multiple phone calls and QUALCOMM messages, they finally told me to get a different 1 from the terminal only 20 miles away tomorrow. I was kind of bummed by wasting the whole day, but your alls responses made me laugh, thanks!

The freight needs moved. You have balls, or you don't. I made it to Management making the right choices. Leave it, or don't. I can only wish you luck.
Mr Coffee Thanks this. -

Mr Coffee Thanks this. -
day 2 of this sage continues, no empties at the terminal, I call dispatch and they said they would send me a dispatch for an empty, and now an hour later there is no dispatch... nothing. So I guess I will just sit here hoping an empty comes in sometime today. Load delivers tomorrow 0400 at 500 miles away. I really think I need to switch DMs anyone got info on how to do that?
-
if you want to play hardball with them wait until they pull there heads out of there bottoms dispatch you then tell them your are not feeling well. then let them worry about what they are going to do,call them back in a few hours tell them you are feeling better. its just a shame some trucking firms are run that way. that being said if i is the holiday weekend they might have one new dispatcher trying to run things.
-
Well, the load is really their problem if they can't find you an mt. Have you talked to the dispatch at the terminal where you are at or other drivers to see if they know where some might be?
-
How long have you been with this company?
Do you know other drivers well?
Where are you?
What I am getting at, is sometimes the drivers know better where to get one!
Sometimes dispatch sends me two hours away to get one. I reply, "No, I have a better chance at XXX and it is only an hour away"
Get phone numbers of fellow drivers for veteran help/info.

Don't you just love chasing those mty trailers around that should be there, but a company says they haven't had one in 3 yrs. Companies love chasing you around the countryside playing "Where's Waldo".
