how do I pass the employment verification. For the last 3 years I have been taking care of my father and I have never gone without work for long I have always earned money doing odd jobs. I can supply invoice recipites for services for last 3 years but that's about it. Also my sister has been paying me $250 a month for 3 years for upkeeping her rental property

You resolve this issue by getting another job, and keeping it for a few years. To establish an employment history.
Thousands of kids with no history get jobs everyday.

I certainly hope that's not the only way to verify that you've been "self employed" and a note from your sister for the property work should be good. I'd think that there are companies that would still hire you even then. "Sick family member" is a valid "job".

You do not have to have worked during that period. You need to be able to document what you have been doing. Phone numbers for people that can verify this. I had not worked, except some under the table stuff, for over 3 years before I started driving and thats all I had to do.

I just started taking care of my elderly dad. And I know this.....you take care of family. To heck with everything else. And THAT’S the truth.

You put down taking care of your father and any time to account going back 7 years or 10. Remember they don't really care if you worked or not going back that far. It's for Homeland Security indirectly to account for your time and make sure you did not fly to afghanistan to get terrorist training or something stupid in between jobs.

Put down everything you did going back that time line and you will be fine. Don't worry about it.

If I had to go to work in the morning with a big truck, all my time going back 7 years will literally be as a medical patient with a team of doctors. All of which is easily verifable in several different databases.

Letter from sister should suffice. 3 years as “ property manager” is quite impressive
