Iam 46 year old male and looking for a career change. I drove a truck 10 years ago, I no longer have my CDL and I was told that I would need to attend a driving school. I am looking at,, Millis / CR England / Central Refrigerated and Prime inc. Can anyone help me out and tell me witch is the best in the long run?

Do some heavy reading here . More and more drivers are losing jobs and more and more people are going to school . The number of applicants that outnumber jobs is growing . Every day the chance of getting hired gets slimmer . The CDL is only accepted so long then you have to pay over $1,000 for a refresher course . There are no "good" job opportunities unless you know someone with a smaller company that had influence to get you in . There are some limited opportunities for new drivers but not many .

I agree with Rick's post. This is only my opinion please understand, but I would pay my own way through school if I could. If you go with companies who have schooling and you decide you don't want to finish or go to work for them you still have to pay the company. If you pay your own way, you can do what you want to do.

Central refrigerated or prime is what i would choose. If youre curently employed stay there until the economy turns around and the freight starts picking back up. Good luck to you in whatever way you decide to go in.
