Could always do what my dad used to do. Let any of them cars with more then the bare minimum of fuel idle for a while. A gallon of gas is around 6 pounds and if you let them idle a few hours thats around 120 pounds of fuel gone pretty quick. Bonus that you get to be an enviromentalists worst nightmare for a while lol

Oklahoma must be extremely anal if they care about that load. The Tennessee Super Coop coming out of Alabama on 65 weighs everyone including empty flatbeds and they let me roll with 35,000 on the trailer but under gross. Ky would let you have 1,999 over gross or axle, but not both.

I’m not a car hauler so forgive me if this isn’t a good suggestion, but can you rearrange the cars to shift the weight forward?

Depends on the load and type of rig it’s loaded on, but sometimes this is an option. I have scales on the tractor and trailer and if I have the space I could slide parts of the load. I am guessing not in his situation because he is very experienced and very likely would have already done that if it were an option.

Overweight in OK isn’t that big of a deal. Pay at the scale and you’re back on the road.

Well to wrap it up, the OK scale was locked up this morning. And I did want to address the question of rearranging the load to move some weight around. Could I have done that, yes? Was I prepared to do that, no. Reason being due to my drops. Had I have moved things around I would have been unloading reloading all day just to move a few hundred pounds and I had no interest in that reality. The likelihood of damage increases every time you touch them and Im the type of person that just believes that once you’re loaded leave it alone.

Ive learned over the years what loads Im going to be heavy on and ones I won’t. This week i had a load of 9 Dodge Hornets, I was almost 35k on my drives and 33kish on my trailer, made no sense but that was the reality of that load and there was no moving anything to change it. New cars too, loaded and done. So @Banker is 100% correct, we know how to best load it, but sometimes it just is what it is.

Thank you to everyone who chimed in though, really appreciate it.

Most of the 75' equipment does, and a few of the 80' do.
