Well...we aren’t off to a very good start...
Mentor was supposed to call today between 7-8 to arrange a pickup time. No call by 10 am so I shot him a message.
Evidently he’s got some “problems he needs to handle downtown” and we should leave tomorrow...
Don’t know what that means...but not a very good start... -

DOCUMENT this problem with Trainer. I see economic losses already.
I am very pleased and respect you for being motivated and not a sloppy foaming at the mouth student who wont do anything.
Keep that journal and document anything that comes up from the trip number all the way through to the bitter end whatever that is. Your company expects you to be like everyone else never documenting anything in copies and writing. So when they put you in the office to question you about say a late load or a late trainer you sit there going uh, dunno, who? What? I forget etc. But when you carry that book in with the actual writing with all facts you can start telling them the exact story as it happened. Chances are they already know.
Documenting anything negative on your end is going to be the one thing that will save you many times and many even get a check out of it if the company forgot to include a trip number you were expecting to be paid on.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Whenever things get tough/crazy come back and read your post, again and again. It's all worth it if you want it to be! Good luck and safe travels! -
Stay out 5 years save everything and buy a house outright. Hopefully one for the each of you.
Just keep in mind as the years roll, life sometimes does things you might not have thought of.asphaltcowboy4x4, Just passing by and G13Tomcat Thank this. -
Well it turned out to be a blessing in disguise that my mentor was unavailable today. I got an interesting medical test result back that needs a sleep study, so they were able to squeeze me in tonight.
Nothing too serious!
Test ends at 5am, I’ll be in the truck by 530 driving to Perrysburg, OH then down to Georgia!tscottme Thanks this.
