Be honest and tell them you want to work for them. I just don't understand why you wouldn't go into them and do the interview face to face.

I would imagine if you have sent an app into them, the person will go over what info you have sent into them, if you have any problems with your driving record, etc. Explaining any job history gaps, what experience you have driving.

It should also be a time that you should be able to ask them questions also as to what they pay, and things like that.

Write down your info so you have it on hand and you don't have to try and remember dates. They may ask you about your 10 yrs of work history, a lot of the short forms on the internet only ask for 3 yrs, but the long form asks for 10 usually.

Phone interviews are to make a connection from the company to the prospective employee, They ask several of the same questions on the phone as is in the application, They again check on your back ground issues if you have any, they just want to put a voice with a name, they can normally throw in a weird question like "Where do you plan to be in 5 years from now"?
Gashauler they do these in place of the in person interview, they normally do these for those in another location. I hope this helps.

When I interviewed for my present job, the guy asked my that question "Where do you plan to be in 5 years from now"and I said, retired. He hired me anyway. Of course that was 8 years ago and I am still there, and he was fired about 6 months later. Not for hiring me, of course. But,I am planning on retiring at the end of the year. It's been a good gig, no regrets.
