Is it true that in Schneider bulk; zero facial hair and no short sleeve shirts/shorts are allowed?

You can wear short sleeves when driving. When on duty gotta have long sleeves and at least basic ppe. Short mustache is acceptable. Reason is respirator has to be able to seal on your face

    mattbnr and Swamprat55 Thank this.

Tempcajun, my fathers's family is from the Houma/ Morgan City area. I have aunts and uncles and cousins all along Bayou Black. In Houma, Gibson, Amelia, and Morgan City. I don't want to give my last name on a public forum, but it is a well known name from down in that area. There is even a town named after us that is a little south of Houma.

I got my CDL training right up the road from Houma at the technical college in Thibodaux.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your experience with Schneider. I'm considering giving them a shot.

    Good luck!

Hello. I sincerely you can advise me on my situation. It is my goal to drive tankers for Schneider. Unfortunately when I drove for them approx. 6 years ago I had a lot going on and allowed my mind to get clouded and quit after only a few months. I was stuck on a Wal-Mart dedicated position and could not go OTR as I had wanted. Anyway I quit so don't know if they would consider me again. Also that was the last time I drove as I had to help parents and other issues. Now all is clear and am hoping to truly begin my career. I attended Alliance Tractor Trailer training in Dunn NC. But I have no recent experience. Does Schneider hire without it. If not would I be better served to attend a refresher course at a local Community College Which I don't know how it works or the cost, or be better to go with someone like Western Express that has a short refresher course. I understand a lot of drivers do not like them but at least it would be real driving experience albeit flatbed not tanker. Would really appreciate your thoughts on this as I am quite determined to finally do the job I have waned to do. I am 57 years old so need to get started. I have sent emais to Schneider but as of yet received no response. I hate to sign on with anyone else until I hear one way or the other from them since driving tankers for them is my goal. Please give any thoughts you may have or if someone I should talk to perhaps you could tell me. Thanks in advance.

You can have a mustache. Long sleeves and pants when you are working. Most plants require them anyway.

You are asking questions that should be asked of a recruiter. They make the final call on that. Call them up and ask.

Hello. You mentioned PPE. Could you elaborate. What will we need. Also I have Georgia boots(Mud Dogs) with steel toes and Wolverines with composite toes. Are both acceptable.

Ppe (personal protection equipment) is your standard face mask, hard hat, rubber boots, rubber gloves, chemical resistant coat and pants.
