Hello all,
I am new to the trucking world and loving every second of it. The only problem is that I am running out of things to listen to and watch while on the road. If anyone has any suggestions of good radio stations they listen to while driving. I like all types of music and willing to hear some new things. I also am trying to figure out some good truckin' tv shows to watch while I have the time too. Please help me out and let me know your favorite shows and music stations.
What to listen/watch to pass time.

BJ and the Bear is a good show. Used to be on Friday nights. It's about this trucker that never leaves the county, never hauls a load, always outruns the local Sheriff in his truck, has a chimpanzee for a co-pilot, and ends up every night in the hot tub with 7 sexy blondes. If you don't have XM satellite radio, you can get some country music on AM stations on the low end of the dial. There was a movie starring Henry Fonda as a dying trucker, made in his final years, where he leaves the hospital after being diagnosed with the big "C" and steals his truck from an impound lot and heads out across country for one last run. He had a fancy trailer with a sliding roof where the working girls he meets up with stand up and hang out acting goofy. Find that movie and "Smokey and the Bandit" plus "Convoy" and you'll be in 7th heaven for awhile. :smt064brushteeth

I had sirius radio, listened to music, and when that got old I would switch over to the comedy channels. But you know you've been listening to the comedy channels to long when you know all the bits, either that or they replay to much of the same stuff I dunno. As far as tv, I just had tons of dvds on the road, and when in big cities I could watch regular cable tv if I could get a signal and the guy on my right didnt leave or move.....

If you have an air card for your internet, you tube has all sorts of stuff to watch. If you want movies to watch, google free streaming movies, it should give you a link to movies online or some such thing.

I Listen to Books If you are here then you can find Audible I am not trying to spam but truly think they are the best company on the market, completely legal and easy to download, I put them on a MP3 player and it helps the miles go fast. I will say however that some people cannot do so and pay attention to the road.
