DT12 has terrain sensing? Huh. I currently use a DT12, and I haven't noticed any "terrain sensing" feature. Frankly, if I'm not paying attention to what I'm doing, the blasted thing will boogie down hill. That's why I still have to actually work while I'm behind the wheel, despite having an automated transmission.

I thought that is what this meant, lol I remember early testers saying it tended to get confused on rolling terrain.

The DT12 maps into the engine and transmission functions to take efficient advantage of the truck's surroundings, not work against them. IPM4 (soon to be available in all DT12 transmissions) refines the parameters of this technology, making the truck even more capable of utilizing its surroundings efficiently.

    This actually says it better.

The adaptive cruise system also has the ability to look ahead at changes in terrain and to adjust speed to maximize efficiency when approaching and descending hills. Because it comes pre-loaded with all this data, it can save fuel on the very first trip, unlike some other systems in the market that must first encounter a grade before committing it to memory.

No idea. Have only had manuals in my last 4 trucks.

Will get to find out soon enough, though, as will most likely be getting D12 in next new one I'll be purchasing in the next few months. Going to be a change, for sure. But, seems like they have progressed & developed enough to finally give them a chance

Hopefully, no one will be scraping me up from the bottom of a hill. LOL

You'll see a lot of people with slot of stuff in their trucks. A lot of the stuff I have came from accumulation over time.. I started out with my TV and DVD player, electric skillet and foreman grill. I added a mini fridge that I already had since before I started driving and also used my toaster oven and my CB that I already had.

Now four years later I've since added the dish network and a rice cooker.

Other than that I've not added much.

Be sure to get a decent tool set to keep under the bunk. A set of spare fuses and crimp connectors to use in a pinch for emergency situations when a quick repair is needed.

Save the $$$ you earn from TNT and put it towards things when you get your own truck.
