What towing capacity is best for a hotshotting truck?

    somebody correct me if im wrong cuz id like to know but i thought CDL requirements go by the weight a vehicle is rated for not how much weight is actually on the trailer....so whether your empty or full makes no difference its how much the truck and or trailer is rated for

    I know in our industry, pulling rv's there is two ways of looking at it.

    With a CDL, the vehicles are rated for license requirements at the actual weight.

    Without a CDL, they use the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, even though the combination would be 3-5,000 lbs less.

    What is the requirement in Texas??? Can a Class B be used for less than 26,000 lbs ???
