Yep, He has no real clue what he is talking about on lithium. Keeps repeatin the same stuff without understanding anything.

I think I'm going to replace my current (Chinesium) Litime Lithium EPU setup 4X100AH with the new 150AH models, even though they are only a year old. I'll sell the old ones or keep them. Showing 150 cycles on the BMS over the last year running them in the freightliner EPU. They've been great.

For $238 a battery it would give 600AH vs 400AH.

    Plus, tax deduction.

    86scotty and Siinman Thank this.

LiTime's are what's running my mini split on my homebrew APU. They are doing great one year in.

No idea of cycles. How do you tell, bluetooth model? Mine are just dumb cheap lithium, 560 AH though.

So far on my Iconic starter batteries I have 275 on first one and 134 cycles on the second one. Should be able to get around 4000 cycles it claims. Once the first one hits a 1000 or so I will most likely switch them. Still debating on getting one more for the winter time. Haven't talked myself into needing it yet. Also the 4 Deep Cycle batteries in my EPU are still going strong. Figured they would had been warn out this summer but lasting the same as last year so far.

Next lithiums I buy for anything have to have bluetooth. I'd really like to know the cycle count and more info. Doesn't really matter to me on my APU I have so little in the whole system (compared to a TK or Carrier unit).

86Scotty I use the Litime store on Amazon, make sure that specific model says BMS and bluetooth. If you download the Iphone app it has the store built in, and you can research different models.

Litime makes a battery monitor display for any system, but it requires wiring in a shunt , and the app works for me. I link my phone to the BT on each battery then you can pull up a custom configuration, either 4 series or 4 parrallel, and it will sync to each battery and give you wattage, voltage in/out, estimated time to either discharge or charge, current and wattage in/out, cycle count, balance and cycle count, and current temperature and software version.

SO yeah, bluetooth BMS is worth it.

Make a big difference. I also have the app Li Time for my Solar panel and it shows all that stuff as well. I do not have the batteries hooked up since they already have their own app with lots of information.

I have a Victron shunt, monitor and phone app but it won't show me cycle count on my batteries.
