What truck do you recommend for a new Owner Operator who just got their CDL?

You don’t get it really.

The members here were mostly trying to offer good guidance and your arrogance about we don’t know or skills or connections is a little annoying. You discount an aggregate of maybe 100 years of experience in this very specific industry - by dismissing the answers as not relevant because you may have a super power or super intellect.

I dislike people entering the industry I have chosen with no knowledge and no experience. Why you ask?

Because they directly or indirectly screw it up for those of us who have worked long and hard to develop the required skills to survive and thrive in a difficult industry.

How you say?

Failed inspections, accidents and general cluelessness. This leads to great scrutiny from the general public, law enforcement and additional onerous legislation to”correct” the problem.

A lack of understanding of the direct and indirect cost to operate leads to downward rate pressure. This is because the “new” operator doesn’t value their time and equipment properly.

So this is an explanation of why it doesn’t matter what truck you buy...and why, unfortunately I hope you are an example to others why failure is so high in the trucking industry.

No you dont get it and I will not argue with you anymore as you said you know what you are. Read the whole thread before you say "they are offering good guidance".

There was a post on another thread a guy actually asked directly: "Am I ready to have my own authority?" without stating any facts. And of course bums like you told him bs about hard work and experience. If you are confident in your skills, connections or whatever there isnt anyone that will take or make your job harder in any field.


Now Im gonna start assuming since you wished me to fail and set example for others. All the new here this is how you setup example of being bullied by rats that think you gonna eat their food.
Go and get a life you miserable, jelous, divorced, child paying support bum and shove your experience and required skills in your as*. If I have 10 years experience in trucking I would have 100 trucks and 10 properties even if I went bankropt 3 times and started all over again and be set for life and probably chilling somewhere with my family instead of arguing and discouraging new people that are just getting into trucking.
And you know why I dont care if im gonna be banned or other people talking trash about me?? I am confident in my skills to go out there and get info, go on other websites and get info, go to friends o/o and talk to them. But you, you dont come here to get info, you are doing this for decades and there is nothing for you to do here but come and attack someone and feel good about it. Good people come here to share, encourage, giveback in a way you cant comprehend and have a life and have a table to share dinner with someone.
And f*** off now being all sweet talking in the previous post about guidance and public scrutiny and stuff you dont care at all but yourself

 

I rest my case... I offered you an explanation and you resorted to name calling and personal attacks.

I am sorry that I can not encourage irresponsible actions and blindly support the uninformed.

This shows that you lack the maturity necessary to be in the .5% I referred to. As far as me being concerned about you offering me competition... please come back when you have invested a significant amount of time and capital in your business.

I will leave it to the moderators to clean up your diatribe above.

It should remain as a lesson, again, to others who read this about maturity and disrespect.

I had a red fuji road racing bike, hit a pot hole and destroyed the carbon fiber frame.

Had a red jeep laredo that was a lemon.

Had a red chevy cobalt that deer loved at night.

Had a red mack pinnacle that was just the whole box of ####.



Have had black, blue, green, and white semi's.... not a single problem.
